For $24, this wireless DMX adapter is a convenient tool. I used it to send signal across a dance floor without running cables. Setup is fairly simple: plug the transmitter into your console and receiver into the light. Range is adequate for small venues—about 100 feet in open air. However, it's not without issues. The build is flimsy plastic, and the battery life could be better (about 6 hours). Also, it only supports one universe (512 channels), so don't expect to control multiple fixtures independently unless you have multiple units.
