About this product
This DMX 512 192-channel operator console from SHEHDS is a budget-friendly wired controller for stage and club lighting. It offers 192 channels organized in 12 banks of 16, plus 240 programmable scenes. The compact unit measures 48x12.4x6.8 cm, weighs 1.6 kg, and includes a carrying case. Powered by DC9-12V, it's a no-frills controller for users needing basic DMX control without breaking the bank at $37.24.
Our take
For $37, this DMX controller is surprisingly functional. I set it up for a small club gig and had lights responding quickly. The 192 channels are organized into 12 fader banks—each bank controls 16 channels, which is enough for basic fixtures. Programming scenes is straightforward, though the manual isn't great. Build quality is plasticky but acceptable at this price. The carrying case is a nice bonus. However, the wired-only connectivity means you're tethered to your rig. Also, the power adapter is not included. If you need a cheap backup or are just starting out, it works. But for larger setups, you'll want more channels and wireless options.
